Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Senior Accountants with strong expertise in Australian tax compliance and bookkeeping. This role covers individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships, ensuring accurate preparation of tax returns, BAS, GST, and payroll while working closely with CPA teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
• Manage Business Activity Statements (BAS), Goods & Services Tax (GST), and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) compliance.
• Handle bookkeeping tasks including payroll, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable.
• Work extensively on Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks for client accounting.
• Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for audits, queries, and compliance matters.
• Provide tax planning advice and ensure compliance with the Income Tax Assessment Acts (1936 & 1997).

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in Australian taxation and bookkeeping.
• Strong proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks (certifications preferred).
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
• Knowledge of ATO regulations, BAS Agent registration, and Australian accounting standards.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable, and deadline‑driven.

Preferred Qualifications

• CA/CPA/CMA/MBA qualified or pursuing or drop-out.
• Experience in offshore team management and compliance reporting.
• Familiarity with cloud accounting trends and advisory‑focused bookkeeping.
