Role Overview

We are seeking an SMSF Accountant with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in SMSF accounting and audit preparation. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements for SMSFs in compliance with Australian regulations
  • Manage SMSF administration using BGL360 and Class software
  • Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and compliance checks for SMSF accounts
  • Facilitate audit processes by coordinating with auditors and ensuring timely delivery of required documentation
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to process improvements and knowledge-sharing within the team

Skills & Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in SMSF accounting or audit support
  • Strong knowledge of SMSF compliance requirements and accounting standards
  • Hands-on experience with BGL360 and Class software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (mandatory)
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
